Bentilee stabbing: Lee Shaw guilty of murder

Lee Shaw Police said Shaw was armed with a knife and "did not hesitate to use it"

A 34-year-old man has been found guilty of the murder of a man who was stabbed in Stoke-on-Trent.

Lee Shaw, of Community Drive, Smallthorne, attacked Dalbagh Singh Malhi in Bentilee, in May last year.

Mr Malhi, 29, known as Bugsy, died in hospital following the attack in Wellfield Road. Shaw will be sentenced at Stafford Crown Court on Friday.

Det Insp Sarah Wainwright said Shaw "did not hesitate to use" his knife before he "calmly left the scene".

"This was a tragic outcome to what should have been an ordinary Saturday night out," she said.
