Boy trapped in mud in Staffordshire rescued
A boy has been airlifted to hospital after being trapped in mud up to his waist, the ambulance service has said.
West Midlands Ambulance Service said the 12-year-old became stuck in a field off Broadholes Lane in Wheaton Aston in Staffordshire on Wednesday afternoon.
He was trapped for an hour before being released by fire and ambulance crews.
He was treated at the scene for hypothermia before being taken to the University Hospital of North Staffordshire by air ambulance.
