Woman killed in lorry crash near Penkridge

A 77-year-old Staffordshire woman has been killed in a crash involving her car and a lorry.

Hazel Hamilton, of Littleton Crescent, Penkridge, died in the collision at the junction of Lower Drayton Lane and the A449 at about 18:00 GMT on Wednesday.

The lorry driver and a passenger were uninjured.

The crash involved a red Ford Fiesta and a Scania lorry, police said. Officers are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
