Weeford villagers concerned at HS2 plans

Weeford residents have said they are concerned by plans to build the HS2 high speed rail line through the Staffordshire village.

Richard Buist and Anna Holden, who are trying to sell their house in the village, said potential buyers had already been put off by fears HS2 could run through Weeford.

The couple spoke to BBC Midlands Today on Monday.

Mr Buist told reporter Kevin Reide that their lives had been "on hold" since the announcement about the first phase of the HS2 line in 2010.
