Lorry driver killed in M6 Staffordshire crash is named

The driver of a lorry who died in a crash on the M6 in Staffordshire has been named by police.

Harry Joyce, of Quinton, Birmingham, was killed on the southbound carriageway close to junction 12, near Cannock.

Emergency crews, called to the incident shortly before 12:00 GMT on Wednesday, discovered a heavy goods vehicle had left the road.

Mr Joyce, 65, died at the scene. Police are appealing for witnesses.

The motorway was closed in both directions while the vehicle was recovered and the scene was examined.
