Woman seriously injured in Burton-upon-Trent fire

A woman has been seriously injured in a house fire in Staffordshire.

Emergency crews were called to the home near Moor Street, Burton-upon-Trent, at about 12:25 GMT on Sunday.

The woman was treated at the scene for serious burn injuries before being airlifted to the specialist burns unit at Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham, the ambulance service said.

Two air ambulances, a doctor, an ambulance and rapid response vehicle were among crews sent to the scene.
