Drink-drive arrest after motorcyclist Jack Boast dies

A van driver has been arrested on suspicion of drinking and driving after a motorcyclist died in a collision on Saturday, police have said.

Staffordshire Police said Jack Boast, 18, of Dawlish Drive, Stoke-on-Trent, died on Monday at the University Hospital of North Staffordshire.

The collision happened at about 19:40 GMT at the junction of Croftfield Road and Dividy Road in Stoke-on-Trent.

A 25-year-old Stoke-on-Trent man has been released on bail, police said.
