Murder charges over Newcastle-Under-Lyme flat death

Two men have been charged with the murder of a 42-year-old man at a flat in Newcastle-Under-Lyme.

Brian Townley, known as Nick, from Dyke Street in Hanley, was found dead in Hempstalls Court, Hempstalls Lane, on Tuesday night.

Richard Kelly, 29, of Parkhead Drive, Weston Coyney, and Thomas Heames, 21, of Hempstalls Court, Newcastle-Under-Lyme, have been remanded in custody.

They will appear before magistrates in Fenton on Friday.
