Impaled boy taken to hospital after Staffordshire accident
An 11-year-old boy has suffered life-threatening injuries after becoming impaled on a park fence.
Ambulance crews were called to Heath Road Park, in Stapenhill, Staffordshire, at about 18:10 BST on Monday.
The boy is thought to have fallen while climbing over the fence.
He suffered a puncture wound to the chest and was airlifted to Birmingham Children's Hospital for specialist care.
