Derbyshire motorcyclist dies in Burton-on-Trent crash

A motorcyclist has died in a crash in Burton-on-Trent, Staffordshire.

A red Kawasaki motorcycle and white Kia Picanto collided in Bridge Street, at the junction of Meadow Road, at about 17:15 BST on Saturday.

Police said the rider, a Derbyshire man in his 40s, died at the scene and his family have been informed. The occupants of the car were uninjured.

Officers are keen to trace a second motorcyclist, believed to have been riding in tandem with the deceased.
