Man charged with mother's murder in Stoke-on-Trent

A 23-year-old man has appeared in court in Stoke-on-Trent charged with murdering his mother.

Josef Cupori, of Elm Street, Cobridge, is accused of killing 43-year-old Anna Cuporiova.

Her body was discovered by paramedics at an address in Elm Street, in Cobridge, on 4 March.

Mr Cupori, who appeared at Stoke-on-Trent Magistrates' Court, was remanded in custody and is due to appear at Stafford Crown Court on Tuesday.

A Home Office pathologist said Ms Cuporiova died from a neck wound.
