Football fans charged after Crewe and Port Vale match

Fifteen people have been charged after arrests were made before, during and after a football derby match between Crewe Alexandra and Port Vale.

Some bricks were thrown at police in Mill Street before the League Two game at Gresty Road, which Crewe won 2-1.

Eight out of 15 arrests were made at the Mill Street incident, police added.

One police officer had a minor injury. Fifteen people, nine Crewe fans and six Vale supporters, have been charged with public order offences.
