Detectives have charged a man with the murder of a man found near a primary school in Sheffield.

Simon Holdsworth's body was discovered by a member of the public in land off Birley Spa Lane in Hackenthorpe, Sheffield, on 17 December.

Mr Holdsworth, 36, died as a result of head injuries.

Shaun Richard Wainwright, 45, of Dagnam Road, has been charged with his murder and will appear before city magistrates on Thursday.

Mr Holdsworth, who had been due to get married, was last seen getting on a bus after leaving work at about 23:00 GMT the previous day.

South Yorkshire Police appealed for information on the BBC's Crimewatch programme in March.
