Man remanded in custody over Sheila Ward murder

A 51-year-old man has appeared in court charged with the murder of a woman at a house in South Yorkshire.

Sheila Wild, 49, was found strangled at the property on Thorne Road in Blaxton, Doncaster on Wednesday evening.

Raymond Wild, 51, also of Thorne Road in Blaxton, was found unconscious at the property and later charged with murder.

He appeared before magistrates in Doncaster and was remanded to appear at Sheffield Crown Court on 17 March.
