A free music festival which was cancelled last year due to a lack of funding will go ahead this summer.

Peace in the Park in Sheffield was postponed after suffering an £8,000 shortfall of funding.

The one-day festival, funded entirely by donations and fundraising, struggled to meet the estimated £20,000 running costs.

Organiser Barney Harris said he was "absolutely delighted" to announce they would be holding the event on 14 June.

The festival, which began as an anti-war protest in 2003, attracted about 8,000 people when it was last held at Ponderosa Park in 2012.

It includes live music, arts and crafts, poetry and dance.
