Family plea in cyclist's head injuries mystery
The family of a man critically hurt while out on his bike wants to know how he came to be injured.
John Straw, 65, was found unconscious with head injuries in Neepsend Lane, Sheffield, close to his bicycle on 14 January, South Yorkshire Police said.
He had a serious head injury and was taken to a hospital where he remains in a critical condition, the force said.
Denise Straw, his wife of 42 years, said the family "just want to find out what happened" to Mr Straw.
Sgt Mark Ramsden said: "I believe there may have been a light-coloured car in the area and the occupants may possibly have witnessed something."
He encouraged the car's occupants and anyone with information about the incident to contact police.
