Residents trapped after fire at Doncaster care home

Elderly residents have been rescued from their rooms after a fire at a care home in Doncaster.

Fire crews rescued four people after the blaze broke out in a bathroom at Oldfield House at about 02:00 GMT.

South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said they were treated in hospital for the effects of smoke inhalation.

Other residents at the property were moved out. A fire service spokesman said an investigation was under way but the cause was thought to be accidental.
