A man has appeared in court to deny killing a man in Rotherham.

Michael Riches, 59, died in hospital after he was found injured at his home in Swinburne Place, Herringthorpe, on 6 October.

Anthony McCall, 55, pleaded not guilty to murder at Sheffield Crown Court.

Mr McCall, of Redscope Crescent, Kimberworth Park in Rotherham, was remanded into custody ahead of his trial, which is due to take place at the court on 17 March.
