Three people injured in Sheffield crash

Abbeydale Road incident The crash happened at about 07:40 GMT in Abbeydale Road, Sheffield

A man and his two teenage children were seriously injured when they were hit by a car.

The three pedestrians were struck in Abbeydale Road, Sheffield, at about 07:40 GMT.

The road, which had been closed between Empire Road and Broadfield Road, reopened at 11:35.

A police spokesman said the three were taken to hospital with what are believed to be serious injuries. The driver of the car was not injured.
