Five arrested in Hull after man dies in hospital

Five people have been arrested over the death of a man found injured in the street in Hull.

Humberside Police said they were called to the junction of Trafalgar Street and Beverley Road shortly after 06:00 GMT on New Year's Day, where they found a man with serious injuries.

The man, believed to be in his 30s, was taken to Hull Royal Infirmary where he died shortly afterwards.

Police said four men and a woman have been arrested.

The investigation was in its very early stages and police were appealing for information in connection with the incident, a spokesperson said.
