Two men charged over Sheffield city stabbing

Two men have been charged in connection with a stabbing which left a 45-year-old man critically injured.

The wounded man was found with stab wounds to his chest near Snig Hill police station on Friday.

A 39-year-old man has been charged with grievous bodily harm and an 18-year-old man has been charged with assisting offenders.

South Yorkshire Police said both men were due to appear at Sheffield Magistrates' Court on Monday.

Police said the injured man was being treated at the Northern General Hospital.
