Attempted murder arrest after Sheffield stabbing

A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a stabbing in Sheffield city centre.

A 45-year-old man is said to have "potentially life threatening" injuries after he was found near to Snig Hill police station on Friday.

South Yorkshire Police said it appeared the victim, who was stabbed in the chest, was injured during an incident on Dixon Lane.

A 39-year-old man is in custody. Witnesses should contact police.
