Rotherham Rottweiler-bite girl leaves hospital

A two-year-old girl who was bitten by a Rottweiler has left hospital, South Yorkshire Police said.

The toddler, from Rawmarsh, was first taken to hospital in Rotherham and later moved to Sheffield on Tuesday.

She had a split earlobe and leg wounds after being bitten by the dog that was on a lead. The girl was with an adult relative in Thorogate, Rotherham.

The dog, believed to be a family pet, has since been destroyed.
