Relatives of an 18-year-old woman who was found stabbed to death in a house in Sheffield have said they are "devastated" by her killing.

The body of student Reema Ramzan was found at an address on Herries Road, Shirecliffe, on Tuesday.

South Yorkshire Police said a man in his 20s had been arrested on suspicion of murder.

Police said he was found in the road with a "serious knife injury" and was in a critical condition in hospital.

In a statement Ms Ramzan's family said: "We are devastated as a family at the loss of Reema, a loved daughter and sister.

"We cannot believe that this has happened to someone we love so much.

"We ask that if any person has information about what happened to Reema that they contact South Yorkshire Police."

Police said they were not seeking anyone else in connection with the incident.
