Sheffield park users given litter fines warning

People using public parks in Sheffield over the bank holiday weekend will face spot fines if they leave litter.

The warning from the city council comes after officials said they were putting extra bins at parks, including Devonshire Green.

Following the last bank holiday, Devonshire Green park had been "spoiled" with litter, officials said.

Patrols are being carried out in the city with officers empowered to issue the fines.
