Rotherham murder investigation: Two arrested

A man and a woman have been arrested on suspicion of murdering a 44-year-old man in Rotherham.

The man was found by police at a house on Greenfield Road, Herringthorpe, at about 22:05 BST on Thursday. He died at the scene.

A 39-year-old man and a 45-year-old woman, both from Rotherham, have been arrested over the death, said police.

A post-mortem examination is expected to be carried out later to establish how the man died.

Greenfield Road will remain closed while enquiries continue at the scene, a spokesman said.

Anyone with information is asked to contact South Yorkshire Police.
