Man arrested over woman's death in Sheffield

A man has been arrested on suspicion of murdering a woman in South Yorkshire.

Police said they received reports at about 11:55 GMT that a woman had been attacked on Blackstock Road, in Sheffield.

South Yorkshire Police said the woman, in her 40s, who has not yet been identified, is believed to have died from stab wounds.

A 44-year-old man has been arrested and remains in custody, a police spokesman said.
