Sheffield man charged with murdering three-year-old girl

A man has appeared in court charged with the murder of a three-year-old girl from Sheffield.

Delroy Catwell, 30, of Beck Road, Shiregreen, was remanded in custody by city magistrates to appear at the crown court on 18 February.

Police said the girl, Lylah Aaron, was taken to Sheffield Children's Hospital after an ambulance was called to Beck Road on Friday evening.

She died in hospital shortly after midnight, a spokesman added.
