Sheffield bike thief attack suspect on CCTV
CCTV images of a man who assaulted a cyclist after being caught in the act stealing his bike have been released by British Transport Police.
The incident took place at Sheffield railway station at about when a 30-year-old man returned to a cycle rack to collect his bike but found a man riding away on it.
The man gave chase and managed to grab the thief who then assaulted him with a bike lock before fleeing.
The police are appealing for anyone who recognises the man to contact them. The incident happened at 18:00 GMT on 30 October 2012
