Man injured in Sheffield street shooting

A man is in hospital with "serious" injuries after being shot in a Sheffield street, according to South Yorkshire Police.

Police said the man, believed to be in his 30s, went to Sheffield Children's Hospital with a gunshot wound to his shoulder at about 05:00 GMT.

He was taken to Northern General Hospital for treatment.

Detectives are investigating the incident which took place in the London Road area of the city.
