Wath girl, one, remains critical after fatal smash

A one-year-old girl remains in a critical, but stable condition in hospital four days after a fatal car accident in South Yorkshire.

Luke Hardwick, 18, from Swinton, died of his injuries following the crash on the A638 Great North Road at Redhouse, Doncaster, on Thursday.

The baby girl, from Wath, is being treated at Sheffield Children's Hospital.

The car was performing a U-turn when it collided with a lorry, police said.
