Barnsley party death of Steven Simpson: Manslaughter charge

A 19-year-old has been charged with manslaughter following the death of a man at a party in Barnsley.

South Yorkshire Police said Steven Simpson, 18, died in Pinderfields Hospital after sustaining "significant burns" at the party on 23 June 2012.

The charged man from Cudsworth, South Yorkshire, is due to appear at Barnsley Magistrates' Court on 26 November.

Police said three people arrested on suspicion of murder remain on police bail until the end of November.
