A Rotherham United footballer who pleaded guilty to causing grievous bodily harm after a fight in a Bristol nightclub has been ordered to complete 182 hours community service.

The judge at Bristol Crown Court ordered midfielder David Noble to a 12-month community order and to pay £2,000 compensation.

The 30-year-old admitted the charge in court earlier this month.

He joined the club in July after spells with Bristol City and Exeter City.
