Tyron Woodhead Mr Woodhead was shot at his home on 20 September

A man who died a month after he was shot at his home in South Yorkshire was "a great husband and dad", said his wife.

Tyron Woodhead, 42, was shot on 20 September on Doncaster Road, Wath-upon-Dearne and died on 24 October.

On Wednesday, his wife Gill said: "As a family we are devastated by Tyron's death."

Two men have been charged with attempted murder and are due to stand trial in March.

Mrs Woodhead said: "He battled on through for nearly a month before he died.

"He was so strong and loved by many people, we cannot believe what has happened and our family will never be the same again.

"He was a great husband and dad to Shannon and his parents Jim and Jen miss him so very much."

Nathan Wingfield, 22, of no fixed address, and Stephen Rodger, 29, from Thurnscoe, were both charged with attempted murder before Mr Woodhead died.

A trial date has been set for both men for 11 March.
