South Yorkshire murder arrest after fight in pub

A 35-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a man died following a fight in a pub in South Yorkshire.

Police believe a number of people were involved in the incident, which took place at the Don John Hotel pub in Maltby on Sunday night.

The 45-year-old man, from Dinnington, suffered a serious head injury and was taken to Rotherham District General Hospital where he later died.

Officers have appealed for witnesses.
