Andrew Massarella death: Man charged over fatal fire

A man has been charged with the murder of a 40-year-old who died in a flat fire in South Yorkshire on Christmas Eve 2011, police have said.

Andrew Massarella was found dead at the property in Callender Court, Cantley, Doncaster, at 03:20 GMT on 24 December.

Jay Griffiths, 25, of Highbury Avenue, Doncaster, was arrested after new information was received about the incident, said South Yorkshire Police.

He is due to appear before Sheffield Crown Court on Friday.
