Murder arrest after man's body found in Mexborough

A 44-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after the death of a 48-year-old man in South Yorkshire.

The man's body was discovered at 13.45 BST on Sunday in a property on Auckland Road, Mexborough, near Doncaster, South Yorkshire Police said.

The road has been cordoned off and scenes of crime officers are carrying out forensic examinations at the property.

Police said the suspect was arrested on Sunday and remained in police custody.
