Man in court over Edlington hit-and-run jogger death

A 38-year-old man has appeared in court charged with causing the death of a jogger by dangerous driving.

Derek Lyon, 52, from Conisbrough, died after being hit by a tipper truck on a rural road near Edlington, South Yorkshire, on 22 March.

Doncaster magistrates bailed the man, from Rossington, to appear at Doncaster Crown Court on 6 August.

He is also charged with failing to stop, driving whilst disqualified and driving without insurance.
