Man's body discovered in Parson Cross house

Lindsay Avenue, Parson Cross Lindsay Avenue is closed while police investigate the circumstances of the death

A man's body has been discovered in a house in Sheffield.

Officers from South Yorkshire Police who were on patrol attended a property on Lindsay Avenue in the Parson Cross area of the city at about 04:00 BST.

The police said they found the body of the man, who is believed to be about 50 years old.

A forensic team is investigating the circumstances of the death. No information about the man's identity has been released.
