A husband accused of murdering his wife has appeared in Rotherham Magistrates' Court.
Police said Angela Eastwood was attacked at the home she shared with her husband Stephen in Sycamore Drive in the Thurcroft area of Rotherham.
The 57-year-old died at the Northern General Hospital in Sheffield four days after the attack on 27 December.
Mr Eastwood, 57, was remanded in custody to appear at Sheffield Crown Court on 20 July.
Worn-out tram tracks to be replaced
Work to replace 14 miles (22km) of worn-out tram tracks in Sheffield is to start this summer.
