Urdu version of Shakespeare classic performed in Rotherham

Help

An Urdu version of Shakespeare's Taming of the Shrew is being performed to audiences at two venues in South Yorkshire as part of the Cultural Olympiad.

The production, by Pakistan-based Theatre Wallay, will be performed at Rotherham's Old Market Gallery and Clifton Park's walled courtyard.

Featuring live singers, musicians and a bhangra-style dance, it is said to explore the difficulties encountered by modern day Pakistani women.
