Bishop of Sheffield, Dr Steven Croft, on diocese tour

The Bishop of Sheffield, Dr Steven Croft, has announced that he is going to embark on a three-month tour of the diocese.

The tour is part of a strategy to increase growth of the congregation in the area.

Dr Croft will embark on his tour in September, visiting 12 venues across the diocese.

He said people were being "challenged to respond to God's call in these uncertain times".

The bishop will start his tour on 6 September at St Leonard's Church in Wortley, finishing on 23 November in the Ecclesall deanery at All Saints Church.

Dr Croft said: "A very exciting autumn lies ahead.

"We look to history to teach us, the present to challenge us, and to the future, in faith.

"Everyone will be challenged to respond to God's call in these uncertain times."
