A new flight is to be trialled at Robin Hood Airport in South Yorkshire.

HiAir has announced it will run the flight from Doncaster to Amsterdam in the hope of attracting business people and tourists.

The service is due to be provided on a 19-seat aircraft and enable people to travel to and from the Netherlands within a day.

The trial flights are due to operate between September and October.

Referring to the 19-seat plane, Ben King, co-director of HiAir Ltd, said: "Such personal service can only be achieved by utilising rich local airports such as Robin Hood."

Mike Morton, director of the airport said: "This is a great opportunity for the region to get behind a local company who are committed to offering travellers a high quality service."
