Man charged with murder after Sheffield man's death

A man has been charged with the murder of 29-year-old man who died after being found with stab wounds in Sheffield.

Damian John Taff, from Sheffield, was found in Swanbourne Road on 1 September and died later in hospital.

Benjamin Grant, 30, of Swanbourne Road, has appeared before Sheffield magistrates charged with murder.

He was remanded in custody to appear at the city's crown court on 14 September. Three other people have been charged in connection with Mr Taff's death.

Emily Sanderson, 37, of Swanbourne Road, Sheffield, had been charged with perverting the course of justice and the supply of Class A drugs.

Ryan Paul Wood, 29, of Liberty Place, Stannington, has been charged with the supply of drugs and Helen Thomas, 27, of Follett Road, Sheffield, has been charged with perverting the course of justice.

They also appeared before Sheffield magistrates and will next appear at the crown court on 14 September.

Emily Sanderson and Ryan Wood were remanded in custody. Helen Thomas was granted conditional bail.

Another man, Antonio Anderson, 31, of Parson Cross, Sheffield, has already appeared in court charged with perverting the course of justice.

He was remanded in custody after appearing at Sheffield Magistrates' Court on Friday and will next appear at the crown court on 10 September.
