Man charged over Sheffield stabbing death

Police investigating a murder in Sheffield have charged a man with perverting the course of justice.

Damian John Taff, aged 29, from Sheffield, was found with stab wounds in Swanbourne Road at about 0400 BST on Wednesday. He later died in hospital.

Antonio Anderson, 31, of Parson Cross, Sheffield, appeared at Sheffield Magistrates' Court on Friday and was remanded in custody.

He is next due to appear at Sheffield Crown Court on 10 September.

Police are still appealing for witnesses to come forward.
