Bath Rugby's plans to increase its seating capacity by 2,000 have been approved.

The temporary planning consent from Bath and North East Somerset Council will see capacity increase to 14,000 for 2014/15 and 2015/16.

The extra capacity also ties in with the club's year of special events to mark its 150th anniversary.

Work will be done on the seasonal East and North stands and more hospitality boxes in the South stand.

These plans are separate to its main planning application to update the club grounds.
