Men rescued in human trafficking raid in Wiltshire

Four Romanian men working "in exploited circumstances" have been "rescued" by police who raided a business premises in Wiltshire.

Officers found the men, aged between 25 and 45, in Melksham on Wednesday.

No arrests have been made and the men are being looked after by the Salvation Army.

It is the second time in a week Wiltshire Police have been involved in an operation targeting human trafficking.

Three women and five men from Lithuania were found following police raids in Swindon last Thursday.

Major Anne Read, anti-trafficking response co-ordinator for the Salvation Army, said "victims of trafficking" are receiving support and "access to accommodation and support at safe houses if needed".
