Four high volume pumps which were brought in to help clear the Somerset Levels of flood water have been sent back to the Netherlands.

The Environment Agency confirmed the pumps left Huntworth on Tuesday but said 16 remained in operation in other areas on the Levels.

The agency said its own permanent pumps and other temporary ones were also "all still in business".

At the height of the operation 70 pumps were working to remove flood water.
