Weston-super-Mare stabbing: Second man faces attempted murder charge

A second man is due to appear in court charged with the attempted murder of a man who was found with stab wounds in Weston-super-Mare.

The 29-year-old victim was discovered at a property in Alfred Street at about 23:00 GMT on Sunday. His condition is described as stable in hospital.

Robert Weatherman, 41, from the town, is due before magistrates later.

Kieran Brooks, 18, of no fixed address appeared before magistrates on Wednesday and was remanded in custody.

Mr Brooks is due to appear before Bristol Crown Court on 30 January.

A 17-year-old girl who had been arrested on suspicion of aiding and abetting an offender has been released without charge.
