Weston-super-Mare stabbing: Two arrested over attempted murder

Two men have been arrested after a man was found with "several" stab wounds in Weston-super-Mare, police have said.

The man was discovered at a property in Alfred Street at about 23:00 GMT on Sunday by officers investigating reports of a disturbance.

Avon and Somerset Constabulary said he was in a critical condition in hospital.

The men, aged 18 and 41, were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and remain in custody.

Det Con Jim Tubby said the attack was being treated as "an isolated incident" and asked anyone who was in the Alfred Street area at the time to get in touch.
